Mother knows what is best for her child
August 16th, 2010 . by adminIf a woman is not married at the time of the birth of her child, she is not obliged to give the sir name of the Father to that child. The registering of the name of a child can be done by the Mother only if necessary or by both parents of the child whether they are married or not. The parental rights of each parent can vary due to each individual situation. For example, if the child starts to live with the Mother only and another partner who is not the biological Father, the Mother can change the name by dipole to suit her new married sir name if she gets married. The biological Father can contest this but usually the courts will support the Mother and the child’s best interest and future.
