Community Hospital Wants LEED Certification
July 2nd, 2010 . by adminI am one of the administrative specialists on the committee to help design the new community hospital. We have the basic premise of what we want and plan to hire an architect within the next two weeks. We were discussing the LEED certification at our last meeting. We decided that we only want to work with companies and designers that are familiar with LEED and plan to accept RFP’s from only those contractors with the Green Associate credentials. We discussed that fact that this may limit the number of bids that we receive for the project, but felt that it was too important to eliminate it from our basic contracting requirements.
