People often open accounts in banks, or any other financial institution and then forget to clam them. These funds get transformed into unclaimed funds deposited with the government. You can claim your abandoned money but for that you have to follow certain rules appropriate to the state. Besides cash and property, the unclaimed funds may also include substantial property like jewelry, watches, historical items, and stamps.
