Eventually, your shower curtains will need to be cleaned. Your shower curtain is prime real estate for mold to grow, as it multiplies in moist, damp environments. Mold can contribute to health issues such as asthma and allergies. Keeping the curtain clean and free of mold and bacteria can help prevent illness. If disposing of it and buying a new one isn’t feasible, you have a couple of options: If possible, put your shower curtain in the washing machine. Some curtains can be washed in a machine, others can’t. Check your label. Common sizes that are available are usually 72" x 72" but if you require more you can get extra long shower curtains or an extra wide curtain depending on your bathroom size needs. 

We never used our fireplace. It wasn't because we didn't enjoy sitting in front of the fire. It was because we didn't like the hassle or the mess that burning wood involved. We had to buy and haul firewood, split it and stack it, and lug it through the house. After we had a fire, we had to clean out the ashes and run the sweeper in the livingroom. We quit using the fireplace altogether. I missed having a fire in the livingroom, but I didn't want to deal with firewood and ashes any longer. We decided to install a ventless gas fireplace instead. We were able to enjoy a fire and not have to deal with the mess that was made before or after.

I recently had laminate flooring installed in my kitchen, and I wanted to lay some throw rugs. I wanted to place one inside the back door, one in front of the refridgerator, and one in front of the sink. I wanted to find rugs that incorporated all of the colors of my kitchen decor into them. I looked in a number of stores, but I could not find rugs that I liked. At a craft fair, I found some beautiful handmade rugs. I bought country braided rugs for my kitchen. My kitchen in decorated in different shades of green, and the rugs match perfectly.

Employing the services of professional interior designers can be a bit draining on the pockets, especially if the services of your interior designer command a big price.  Of course, if you want an exemplary design, you have got to pay for it in a big way as well.  But if you want to save some money, why not design your home or office yourself?  If you feel that you have the talent and the flair to come up with a great design, go ahead.  Who knows?  Your work might surpass that of the professionals.
