Fulfil Your Daughter’s Dreams

October 24th, 2009 . by admin

Most little girls love pink and all things girlie. What better present than a princess canopy bed, a confection of floaty pink chiffon panels and co-ordinating bedroom set and she will be forever grateful. As she grows the canopy bed can grow with her by changing the fabrics and colours of the bedding but the main frame can remain until she is grown up. It will be a wonderful place for her to dream and be a child, somewhere safe and comfortable as well as practical and warm. She will be the envy of all her friends!

Saving on the Electric Bill

September 18th, 2009 . by admin

I could not stand the price of our electric bill any longer. I was paying almost a quarter of my paycheck just on the electric bill! I live in a very hot area so the air conditioners are running non stop. I have two small children as well so I have to keep the house cool. When I found out that hip roof construction would help keep my house energy efficient, I was ready to put the money out. Not only did the roof provide a lot of shade, it kept the sun out of the house as well. I didn’t have to run my air conditioner nearly as much as my electric bill went down!

The great outdoors

August 18th, 2009 . by admin

My patio is a very special place, because I really like to spend a lot of time out there, especially in the summer, and it is due to this reason that I took a good look at Outdoor Flooring to find exactly the type I wanted. I chose an expensive style in the end, but I think it was worth the money because now my patio deck looks wonderful.

DIY Burglar Alarm Easier to Build Than You Think

July 13th, 2009 . by admin

I’m going to build my own alarm system. It’s going to be a Rube Goldberg machine that will launch eggs into the face of an intruder if they stand in one place for the requisite 37 seconds after entry while the bowling ball rolls down the ramp to turn on the fan to blow the sailboat across the tub to light the candle with the match to heat up the chickens to lay the eggs. Obviously I’m just kidding, but I am going to set up a DIY burglar alarm that I found instructions how to build on the internet. It looks much simpler to build than what I just described, so don’t think it will be daunting if you want to try to build one yourself! Just don’t forget to keep the hamster well fed so that he’ll keep running in the wheel that powers it.

Using Concrete for Shed Foundations

July 3rd, 2009 . by admin

When an individual has their mind set on building a storage sheds and knows exactly where they want it placed they should use concrete as their shed foundation. Concrete should only be used if the owner of the shed wants to keep it permanently. Using concrete means the foundation of ones shed will be as durable as it can possibly get. If one plans on putting heavy machinery in their shed concrete is perfect because it can withstand endless amounts of weight. Concrete foundations also lay flat against the ground which help people and objects easily get inside ones shed.

Learning About Prefabricated Steel Buildings

July 2nd, 2009 . by admin

It’s time to get serious about Prefabricated Steel Buildings.
I have a low budget, but need to expand my space.
From what I’ve found out about Metal Carport Kits, I may be on the right track. Looks like a solid, affordable option.
Hopefully I’ll be able to expand without too much pain.
More on this soon.

What’s the Quality of Used Hotel Bedroom Furniture Online?

June 27th, 2009 . by admin

I can’t decide whether to get a completely new bedroom set or to buy used hotel bedroom furniture online and use the extra money that I save to get nicer duvets and sheets and what-not. I wonder if it’s possible to contact the businesses directly that are selling the used hotel furniture so that I can find out exactly what the condition of the goods are. If it’s a hotel that’s just doing some redecorating and has only had the bed set for a year, then fine. But if it’s some two star deal that is going out of business after years and years of using this old furniture, I just don’t know…

Building Your Own And Installing Solar Panels

June 20th, 2009 . by admin

My husband is one of those do it yourself kind of guys.  I have never had to purchase items such as a wine rack, or book stands, never pay someone to add a room, install a sliding glass do, or build a deck.  I am happy to watch him perform his miracles.  My reality has recently had a sudden and uncomfortable shift; my husband is talking about us installing solar panels for our hot water heater; as in us, together, as in me working with my hands, and with tools, and trying to follow directions.  He did give the the instructions, after my meltdown, and I am reassured that it is possible that we can do this.

Thinking About Prefabricated Steel Structures

June 12th, 2009 . by admin

I’ve been curious lately about Prefabricated Steel Structures.
I’ve been needing some more storage space for a while, now. The closets are getting overloaded. Prefabricated Steel Structures have been recommended to me.
My partner keeps mentioning Metal Carport Kits. I think it might be a good choice
Hopefully I’ll be able to expand without too much pain.
Stay tuned.

Outdoor Creative Flooring

June 11th, 2009 . by admin

If you’re anything like me you have begun to make your wish list for summer projects. Ranging from planting perennials, vegetables, to building a bird house, to finishing your deck, again. I know for us we are looking into alternatives these days to the usual wood deck. The cost it takes to maintain the deck looking decent is taking its toll. So, we have been surfing the web looking into cheap outdoor flooring options. It is amazing at the results. You can find rubber, tiles, and cement pavers as alternatives. I love the information that can be shared via the internet. It is so helpful.
