I was talking to a friend yesterday about Elder Neglect.
My grandmother was abused terribly at the first nursing home we placed her at. I feel terrible about it.
It’s awful to have to cotend with Elder Care Abuse and Neglect in your family, but you have to deal with misfortunes as they arise.
Thankfully, we discovered the problem in time and got her moved. I can’t imagine what might have happened otherwise.

My grandmother had a terrible experience at the first hospice center we placed her at.
In my worst nightmares I never imagined I’d have to deal with Elder Care Abuse, but that’s how it goes.
We’ve moved her to a more reputable place, now, thank goodness. We’re still watching over her much more closely, though.

I have two parents which are senior citizens and it is time to seriously consider the options for long term care. Both of them are still very active so a nursing home is not an option. I suggested that they consider an assisted living center. One of the great things about these establishments is that you can continue to live independently and draw upon help if and when it is needed. There are other folk to provide a sense of community which is great for people of senior age.
