The upper part of the hall is decorated with white marble, inlaid with delicate floral patterns of jasper, amber and lapis lazuli. Within the palace is an architectural ensemble of souvenir shops, and then a small museum, supervised by the Raja family. Buses from Bangalore to Thiruvalla depart in every 5hr. Here exhibited paintings Tandzhavurskoy and the Mysore school, part of the paintings decorated with gilt and precious stones. Rajendra Vilas Palace (Rajendrah), built in 1939, kept private apartments rajas. Jaganmohan palace built in 1861 has an art gallery. Mysore Zoo - a large, 250-acre zoo is the residence of tigers (including a white tiger), gorillas, white peacocks, lemurs, bears and other animals. Open daily except Friday from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. This is one of the best zoos in India.
