What to expect from Brits
January 25th, 2010 . by adminWhen I first heard of the place in Pretoria inaptly called ‘Brits’, I wasn’t sure exactly on what to expect. I remember having a teacher in high school who I knew came from Brits, but had still unto this day, not given the area much thought. On a recent business trip we rented a vehicle from a car rental company, I was soon to be filled with an abundance of knowledge regarding this quaint little town. For instance; 94% of South Africa’s platinum industry comes from the Brits districts, and Brits is also renowned for its large vanadium mine. Jo Roos, a well know South African painter and sculptor also has his studio based in Brits, and I was fortunate enough to meet him.
